Natural Home Remedies for Dry Skin

There are many who brush away the fact that people who have radiant skin are much more confident than others however this cannot be easily denied, confidence oozes from people who are beautiful. Beautiful skin can be obtained by maintaining proper balance in diet, disciplined eating habit and exercise on daily basis which has to be followed by regular skin care.


When skin loses lots of moisture it ends up drying the skin which is easy to look at and normally happens with cold atmosphere, while in some dry skin is chronic problem. If proper skin care is not taken we can see some deep cracks on skin that often ends in bleeding of the skin.

Dry skin can be identified when dry flaking skin is observed, along with lines or fine wrinkles on the skin, itchiness or even when white lines are formed on scratching. Reasons which cause dry skin are taking too much bath in hot water several times every day, resorting to swimming, too much exposure to sunlight, presence of psoriasis which is a skin condition.

Also dry skin will be common problem seen among those who spend too much time in rooms which have been artificially cooled or heated that lessen the humidity levels in a room. Remedies can be easily prepared at home which include:

1.    Bananas and honey:

Ingredients:
•    2 mashed bananas
•    2 tbsp honey

Mix the above ingredients properly before applying on dry skin to be left on for about 20 minutes which has to be washed off with warm water.

2.    Barley flour, turmeric powder:

Ingredients:
•    2 tbsp barley flour
•    1 tsp turmeric powder
•    2 tsp mustard oil

Mix the above ingredients with water to make it into fine paste which has to be later applied on dry skin to be left so for about 10 minutes. Later scrub it with palms after which it has to be washed off with lukewarm water.

3.    Egg yolk:

Beat the egg yolk lightly before applying on dry skin which has to be left so for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

Almond oil or olive oil can be used to massage on the skin apart from which nearly 8 to 10 glasses of water has to be taken in order to flush out harmful toxins away from the body. Also moisturizer has to be applied daily on the skin.
